1. COVE Talking Points
  • Drop off for sedated procedures is 8-10 am, U/S will have a set time as it only takes 30 minutes and there is no sedation; owner can wait in lobby or there is Starbuck’s nearby- we will call with exact drop off or appt. time the day before

  • Sedated pets will be at the COVE for 2-3 hours- you will be contacted when procedure is complete with a pickup time

  • Patient Prep: Need to get meds from rDVM (traz/gaba for dogs, gaba for cats); no food after 8 pm, water ok; give meds 2 hours prior to appt (with small amount of food ok); your pet will be groggy remainder of the day

  • Price and What it Includes: Brief exam, Sedation, sometimes w/contrast; images go to a Board- Certified radiologist; report e-mailed to rDVM by the end of next business day

  • FOP – Cash, Check, Care Credit, Credit Card w/ 3% fee added

  • Nervous pet owners – tell them DVM, anesthesiologist & 3 techs on site
