TISSUE SAMPLING

Veterinary Tissue Sampling & Biopsy

In some cases, imaging identifies an abnormality, but additional testing is needed to reach a definitive diagnosis. To help streamline patient care, The COVE offers veterinary tissue sampling and biopsy procedures, including ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration (FNA), Tru-Cut biopsies, nasal biopsies, and bone biopsies that may be performed during the same visit as imaging, reducing delays and supporting faster treatment decisions.

CONTINUITY OF CARE

Tissue sampling is available at our veterinary imaging centers in Waukesha, Wisconsin and Farmington Hills, Michigan. All tissue sampling procedures are performed by a licensed veterinarian (DVM) and coordinated with the referring veterinary team. Following sample collection, specimens are provided to pet owners for submission through their veterinarian's preferred diagnostic laboratory, helping maintain continuity of care and communication.
